BOULDERING WALL MRAVENISKO 8b

The operator of the bouldering wall is WE WORK s.r.o., Rybničná 16, 053 31 Spišská Nová Ves (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”)
The bouldering wall operated by the operator (hereinafter referred to as the “wall”) is intended for sports activities, such as bouldering, judo, simulation of movement on via ferrata. All visitors are obliged to familiarize themselves with the operating rules and follow them.
Upon first entry, each visitor, including a person who does not climb or does not perform a sports activity, is obliged to fill out and hand over the registration form to the competent person and, by signing it, confirms that they are familiar with the operating rules and safety at Mravenisko 8b and that they accept and consider the rules contained therein to be binding.
Persons under the age of 18 must submit the consent of their legal guardian to the operating rules and a signed registration form. Persons under the age of 15 may only be present in the premises of Mravenisko 8b when accompanied by an adult. Movement and performance of any activity in the premises of Mravenisko 8b is solely at the sole responsibility of the person – visitor, as defined below.
A. DEFINITIONS
Visitor: A visitor is understood to be any person who, during the operating hours, either directly participates in a sports or any other activity, or is present in the premises of Mravenisko 8b for any other reason.
Supervision: May only be performed by a person designated by the operator. The operator expressly points out that the supervisory person does not necessarily have the qualifications of a professional instructor.
Professional instructor: A person who has completed an accredited course or has acquired sufficient experience and qualifications as a professional instructor for climbing on artificial walls.
Sports activity: Any movement in the premises of Mravenisko 8b with the aim of performing a sports activity of any kind.
Escort: A person who does not perform a Sports activity, but stays in the premises of Mravenisko 8b.

B. Principles and rules of operation of activities in Mravenisko 8b

  1. All visitors to the wall acknowledge that they perform sports activities solely at their own risk and responsibility and confirm that they are fully aware of all the dangers arising from performing sports activities in Mravenisko 8b.
  2. All visitors acknowledge that the Sports activity is permitted by the operator only to persons who safely master the principles of Sports activities and safety. Visitors confirm such knowledge by signing the registration form. All visitors are obliged to use high-quality and fully functional sports equipment. Visitors may enter the Mravenisko 8b area only after taking off their shoes. Only special climbing shoes or clean sneakers may be used for sports activities. It is prohibited to play sports barefoot, in slippers or other inappropriate shoes.
  3. Before starting sports activities, each visitor is obliged to evaluate their current health status, physical capabilities, as well as their abilities and experience with sports activities and all techniques related to this activity. The operator recommends that persons who have no experience with these activities or are beginners perform sports activities exclusively under the supervision of a professional instructor of the operator. The operator is not responsible for any harm to the health of visitors that occurs as a result of overestimating their own abilities or health status.
  4. The operator fundamentally does not recommend performing sports activities to persons with health problems, especially with cardiological problems, heart diseases, pregnant women, etc.
  5. Sports activities in Mravenisko 8b are only permitted to persons who have paid the entrance fee in advance according to the valid price list. Visitors are strictly prohibited from entering the wall area and conducting sports activities under the influence of alcohol or other addictive (narcotic) substances; in this regard, the operator is entitled to deny entry to Mravenisko 8b to a person who is obviously under the influence of alcohol or an addictive substance.
  6. Persons under the age of 15 (hereinafter referred to as “children”) may perform sports activities only under the direct supervision of their legal guardian or another person over the age of 18 who will assume responsibility for them and confirm this fact to the operator in a written statement. The legal guardian of the child or the person who has assumed responsibility for them in a written statement is responsible for compliance with the rules for the safe performance of sports activities and is responsible for their safety.
  7. Persons over 15 years of age and under 18 years of age (hereinafter referred to as “youth”) may perform sports activities independently only if they submit to the operator a written consent from their legal guardian, in which the legal guardian states that they agree to the independent operation of their child’s sports activities on the wall and that they assume full responsibility for them. Otherwise, minors in Mravenisko 8b may perform sports activities only when accompanied by a person over 18 years of age, who assumes responsibility for them and confirms this fact to the operator in a written statement.
  8. If a visitor has any doubts about his/her sports skills, he/she is obliged to ask the operator for an introductory briefing, which will be provided to him/her at his/her request by the operator’s professional supervision (service) or the operator’s professional instructor.
  1. Every visitor is obliged to obey the instructions of the operator’s professional supervision (service) at any time. At Mravenisko 8b, visitors have the option of renting high-quality, safe and fully functional sports equipment intended for free climbing activities by the manufacturer and are obliged to use this equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for use and the recommendations of the professional supervision (service). The operator is not responsible for the technical condition of the visitor’s own equipment.
  2. Every visitor is obliged to comply with the following basic principles and rules for the safe performance of sports activities on the wall:
  • Comply with the principles of safe free climbing and bouldering. The visitor is obliged to warm up before performing a sports activity. The so-called Bouldering (solo climbing without being tied to a rope) is prohibited outside of designated areas.
  • It is prohibited to stay in the area under the climbing wall, unless it is a person who is currently climbing or belaying another person.
  • It is prohibited to modify existing routes, this is only possible with the prior consent of the professional supervision (service).
  • Every visitor is obliged to report to the professional supervision (service) immediately any technical defects found in Mravenisko 8b, including a loose hold, belay device, and to warn another visitor who intends to enter the disturbed route of this fact.
  • Every visitor is obliged to behave in a way that does not endanger or restrict other visitors, in the event of an accident, he is obliged to provide first aid to the injured person and immediately call a doctor or professional supervision, who will call him.
  • The professional supervisor (service) has a first aid kit available for providing first aid, the professional supervisor is obliged to record the injury in the injury book, including the data of any witnesses to the injury.
  • Every visitor who discovers a violation of the principles of safe climbing and sports activities in the climbing center is obliged to warn the violating person of the obligation to comply with the safety rules. If this warning does not lead to correction, he is obliged to warn the professional supervisor (service) about such action.
  • It is prohibited to climb on the bouldering wall with a seat on which carabiners, quickdraws, belay devices, or other objects that may injure the climber in the event of a fall.
  • Parents are responsible for their children during the entire visit to the climbing center.
  • Each visitor is responsible for their climbing material.
  1. Each visitor is also obliged to maintain cleanliness and order in all areas of Mraveniska 8b. He is obliged to comply with the principles of fire prevention and familiarize himself with the fire alarm directive posted in the wall premises. Smoking or consuming other addictive substances is strictly prohibited in the climbing center premises.
  2. The operation of business activities in the entire Mravenisko 8b area is permitted only with the consent of the wall operator.
  3. The operator or the operator’s professional supervisor is entitled to expel from the Mravenisko 8b premises at any time a person who violates the provisions of these operating rules or the rules of safe bouldering, without the right to a refund of the paid entrance fee. The operator reserves the right to deny entry to a person who has repeatedly violated the operating rules or the rules of safe free climbing on the wall.
  4. By signing the visitor’s book, visitors express their consent to the operator processing the personal data provided by them in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. On the Protection of Personal Data, as amended, for the purpose determined by the operator for the period strictly necessary to achieve this purpose.
  5. These operating rules are issued by the operator and are valid and binding for all visitors to the wall starting from the date of their publication. These operating rules are published by the operator on the operator’s website, and are also visibly posted in the reception area – entrance to the wall so that every visitor has the opportunity to familiarize themselves with them.
  6. The operator is not responsible for damage that a visitor causes to himself or to other persons during his stay at Mravenisko 8b.
  7. The operator reserves the right to change and update these issued operating rules at any time. Visitors are obliged to familiarize themselves with the effective operating rules.
